Urban Wilds
It's hard to believe that this exists in the heart of the town of Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, BC. The Holland Creek Trail is a popular hiking and exercise route for visitors and joggers alike. On my many visits to this location, I have always had difficulty working with the lighting. Contrast is far too high if the sun is out. If it is cloudy, the scene becomes dull and lifeless. I was in need of that few seconds in between cloud cover and full sun. The sun needed to be over head, and the right conditions couldn't interfere with lunch !
