I am an amature Photographer. With over 50 years of experience, Photography for me is a passion. A wonderful world of illusion. . . and I'm still learning.

EDIT: FEB. 2020:
I am changing this “About Message” as my opinions and methods have changed somewhat.
My opinion is that ALL photography is manipulated to one degree or another, and has been since it was invented, Film and Digital.
Personally, my aim is to reproduce images in a manner that reflects the way my mind perceived them at the time of capture.

Photography is a form of art and art is by nature a transformation of reality, not a documentation of reality.

I have no qualms about using various techniques to enable a printed image to display a reasonable representation of the original scene. Much in the same way B&W negatives have been "manipulated" for generations.

It can be assumed by the visitor to this site that all photographs have passed through a “post-processing procedure”. This procedure can vary dramatically. I try to avoid the unnecessary removal of subject material, and certainly never insert subject material into the image that wasn’t there at the time of capture.

The category called “Imaginary Landscapes” is, however, comprised of totally manipulated images to an extreme degree. A whimsical touch of fantasy, if you will, with “for fun” titles. Letting the imagination run wild. But at the same time, the subject material was real, albeit totally different to look at in its natural state.

I truly hope you enjoy seeing the photographs.
