Earthbound Thunder

Actually, only the lower half of Lower Myra Falls is shown here. The total 220Ft vertical drop is not able to be photographed in one frame, from any vantage point. Rather, the tiered falls must be seen and photographed in sections. The falls are unusual in that they plunge directly into Buttle Lake and yet are easily seen from above, from along side and from below and in front. Thanks to an easily negotiable trail that descends the side embankment and a sand bar that protrudes into the lake from shore.
