I am an amature Photographer. With over 40 years of experience, Photography for me is a passion. A wonderful world of illusion. . . and I'm still learning.

I'm sometimes asked if I manipulate my photographs.
The only correct answer is Yes. However:
My opinion is that ALL photography is manipulated to one degree or another, and has been since it was invented, Film and Digital.
Personally, my aim is to reproduce images in a manner that reflects the way my mind perceived them at the time of capture.

Photography is a form of art and art is by nature a transformation of reality, not a documentation of reality.

I have no qualms about using various techniques to enable a printed image to display a reasonable representation of the original scene. Much in the same way B&W negatives have been "manipulated" for generations.

"The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance."

I truly hope you enjoy seeing the photographs.
