Below the established Little Qualicum Falls Park area, the Little Qualicum River takes on a brief and more wild aspect. These falls and more below, are hidden away from the usual visitor. The public in general is discouraged from venturing beyond the boundaries of the park where these falls are located. This photo shows this particular section in a more relaxed mood, in September. However, in spring this whole section of river becomes quite dramatic. Indeed, a similar photo in spring at this exact location is not possible.
Shown here, the river, having been split further upstream, develops into two separate falls at this location, where it converges back into one.
