Canada Violet. (Viola Canadensis)

Canada Violet. (Viola Canadensis)

According to “Wild About Flowers”, an organization specializing in Alberta wild flowers, that is the official name of these little gems.
For just a couple of months in spring, they can be found in most shady woodlands, just as I found them in Glenmore Park, Calgary, Alberta.

This photograph has the dubious honour of being the first posted from a change of photographic equipment, if you're interested. My Canon cameras are now gone alltogether with all the lenses I had. Nothing wrong with the Canon gear at all. No, not bigger and better, just the opposite actually as I step over to Micro Four Thirds format, at less than half the weight!
