Lupine Falls
Located in Strathcona Provincial Park on Vancouver Island, Lupine Falls is a loop trail taking the visitor through varied terrain. The highlight is Lupine falls itself and sees many visitors year round. The falls are at the edge of a forested area and below the falls the forest is dark, taking on a primeval look. Sunlight is mottled at best for much of the day. The actual falls, shown here in the background, give way to a tumbling creek as the creek makes its way down, outflowing into Buckle Lake. This particular part, below the main falls, has become the preferred area for me offering a real wild appearance.
