The Grotto of Payzant Creek

The Grotto of Payzant Creek

Payzant Creek is located on the Juan de Fuca trail system of Vancouver island. The trail is rough, isolated and demanding, much like its older brother, the West Coast Trail.
This scene is tucked away and easily missed.
I'm sure many people must pass them and be totally unaware of their presence. The shortest route to see this scene is 3km of very rough, usually soggy, trail from the nearest parking lot.
But it is magical.
