This image was captured in 2005 with a Canon 20D camera. By today's standards, this camera would be considered a dinosaur.
At "only" 8 megapixels, its resolution is far from state of the art. But for the web, screen viewing, pretty much anything other than a large print, 8 megapixels is more than adequate.
With a little massaging, in the the latest software, a decent rendition was enabled, and reflects very much, the mood encountered at the time. An almost painterly look, somewhat surreal.
